That brings me nicely to the heater – essential for a tropical tank! A heater will help to keep the water temperature above a minimum level to keep your occupants happy. Different fish have different requirements, so you have to select them carefully, but for tropical fish you use a heater to maintain the minimum temperature. However, if you are starting a tank for a goldfish collection, a heater should not be used – they need the variance of temperature throughout the year to thrive.
I discovered three things: (1) cranes are smarter than fish; (2) the depth of a pond is not a major deterrent; and (3) the more colorful a koi fish and the more it costs, the better it tastes! Because those are the ones that the cranes eat first.
While I have under Rock Delivery filters, they are not my main choice for filtration. How ever, for the plants it was just fine, as much detritus from the fish settles at the bottom of the tank and finds its way beneath the filter. This provides nutrients for the plants. There are plant foods available especially for the aquarium plants. Personally, I never bothered, for their growth, rates were huge and to feed them even more was ridiculous and money down the drain. I can understand it for special plants that do need additional food. Never ever use proprietary houseplant food as you may end up killing your fish!
Sometimes an aquarium will get cloudy the first time you fill it up with water, even before you put in any fish. Why Rock Delivery would this happen? Most likely it’s because of the new gravel you put in the aquarium. Oftentimes new gravel will have dust, so if you notice cloudiness in a new tank, dump it out and rinse off the gravel thoroughly. In fact, it’s a good idea to rinse off any new gravel you buy before putting it in your tank since it will usually have some dust in it. If the water is still cloudy, then your problem is most likely the pH level in the water, in which case you can treat the water with conditioners found at your local aquarium supplier.
Within the pond there will be two kinds of plants: floating and rooted. There are many types of floating plants like water lettuce or water hyacinth. Throw a few into the pond and they pretty much take care of themselves. The biggest problem you will have once they get established is that they will multiply so fast that you will have to remove the excess periodically. The Koi will help with this because they are omnivores and love to eat plants. They are especially fond of water hyacinth. That’s a good thing, too, because the hyacinth is a prolific breeder and can choke out a pond in short order if left unchecked.
Builders bags are available in different sizes and capacities, and some will hold up to a metric tonne (1000kg). Bags with a spout make your product easier to pour, so that you can transfer to smaller bags or boxes, or use. Reinforced bags are useful if your contents will need more protection.
As business grows you will probably need to rent premises large enough for the racks needed to store your cement blocks for drying. You will also need a helper to move the blocks from the machine to the racks. At this stage however your business will make enough profits to more than justify the extra costs. You can start your own concrete product business on the proverbial shoestring. With hard work it will rapidly grow into a full time very profitable business. You can give up your job and be a full time concrete products manufacturer. The sky is the limit in this business. Demand never dies for concrete products and you can have an income you could only dream about while working at a job.
