In reflecting on the late Jeff Conoway’s career, I watched old episodes of “Taxi” on You Tube. While doing so I came across my favorite “Taxi” episode ever, when Bobby pretends to be Louie for his high school class reunion.
Take a genuine timeout regularly, just do nothing for a while! Take your time to enjoy the little things in life. Spend some times outdoors just for the fun of it! Go for a walk, play with your kids, call a friend you have not seen for a long time.
Otherwise, we went to the Las Vegas-style shows in the evenings most nights, and my kids loved most of the shows we saw. We also played bingo, did karaoke, did some shopping, had desserts a few hours after lunch and after dinner, watched some movies in the evenings on the giant screen over the pool, and basically had a great time. There was much to see and do, but I do have to say that there were a few times when we were all pooled-out and the events scheduled for a particular time didn’t interest us. During those times, we lounged in our rooms and rested.
Do you know how to do a specific dance, play a musical instrument, how to work out complex math problems, or anything else of the like? You should try giving lessons or tutoring! Since these days some people cannot afford a good tutor at a decent price, you could help them out by offering the above at a lower price! Not only does it help out others but it brings you in a steady flow of income especially if the taxi service person schedules a weekly session with you!
Can you learn on your own or should you require a board and a talking professor to absorb the lesson? There are some students who are better studying alone. There are some who are not. If you think you are capable of learning without the need of the actual classroom discussion, then you can consider online schooling.
There are lots to see if you like to. Yesterday we took a renting a car in cancun for the three-hour ride to the Tiger Temple where we could watch, touch and pet real live tigers! Exciting! Otherwise it is nice just to take it easy, spend your days relaxing in the sun, playing cards, reading, talking… doing those things you never seem to have time for at home!
Other types of taxis are the cool cabs which have a distinct blue or silver color, consisting of electronic meters. These taxis come with a higher charge, almost 40% more than the ordinary taxis.
Anticipatory grief, rising health care costs, time constraints and expanding tasks are just some of the things that make caregiving a full-time job. Other issues, such as family disputes or moving to another community to get better care, make that job harder. Though the work is hard, I hope you view caregiving as a sacred experience. You are helping a special person live out his or her life with dignity, honor, and love.
