Your toenails and fingernails both can be infected by the fungus. However it has been seen that toenail fungus infection is more common than finger nail fungus infection. This is because fungi thrive in warm moist places. And wearing wet sock or shoes, walking barefoot in public baths, near swimming pools increases the chances of toenails fungus infection. It is a common disease especially among adults and you need to know about treatment.
If you ever had a fungal infection such as ringworm or athletes foot you will know how difficult it can be to get rid of it. Ringworm isn’t a worm but a fungus. If you need an emergency treatment on a single big spot you could try aspirin. Although not a natural treatment it is very effective for a fast solution. Crush a tablet with a spoon then add drop or two of water to make a paste. Apply the paste directly to the spot and leave for 15 minutes. Aspirin contains acyclic acid which is found in some over the counter spot treatments. It will kill bacteria, reduce inflammation and rapidly dry the spot.
