Roulette – How It’s Played

If you have found yourself curious about the game of roulette and would like to learn how to win at roulette, there are several important basics you need to be aware of. One of the more common problems that many people who are new to this game encounter when they first begin playing is that they believe the game to be simple. It certainly appears simple when you first walk into a casino and see the wheel with its black and red spaces. Playing roulette is easy enough. All you have to do is choose which number or space you believe the ball will land on when the wheel is spun next. If your prediction is accurate, you will win. While this does seem easy enough, your odds of winning can be based on a variety of different factors.

Aside from the aforementioned three varieties, there are many other lesser variants of roulette. One of these is racetrack roulette. This is just another variant of French and European versions of the game, both known for their single-zero wheel and differ only in the table layout and a few rules. However, racetrack Roulette Strategy differs from both with regards to the betting layout. While normal roulette tables only have the standard betting spaces for the inside and outside bets, this version of roulette has a racetrack-like set of betting spaces in addition.

There are those that will insist that the best way to go is to be red and black all night long. If you do this, you have a 48.6% chance of winning on a single 0 wheel, and a 47.4% chance of winning on a wheel that features both a 0 and a 00. You can also choose to bet evens and odds with the same percentages.

As previously mentioned, you can also place a bet on the lone yellow slot. You can actually make three kinds of wagers on this particular betting space. The first is the Straight yellow bet that wins 12:1, or twelve times your bet. However, if the yellow comes up again in the resulting bonus spin, you’ll win 120:1, and if the same occurs in the third spin, you’ll get a whopping 1200:1 win!

The best chance of winning is to have you cover as much of the board as possible. The double columns or rows betting strategy enables you to cover for 24/37 numbers (for European wheel) giving you 64.5% of winning probability. The Roulette Strategy table has 3 columns and 3 rows that pay 2-to-1 on each column/row winning. In the double columns/rows betting strategy, you can choose to play on column/row or both.

Here is another outside bet pattern that occurs frequently. It also plays Red (R) or Black (B). When you see the pattern BBRB bet on Red. When you see RRBR bet on Black. Ignore zeros in the sequence. Progression is also 5 bets. It wins 98-99 out of 100 wagers. That equals $140-$340 using $5 chips.

As such, the Oskar’s Grind requires a lot of patience and is not recommended for players looking for a fast way to get to either end of the forked road that leads to modest gambling income or an exhausted bankroll. That simply is the reason it’s called a “grind”.
